Presenter, Adam Penning, takes viewers on a look around one of the UK’s legendary carp syndicates, Chilham Mill Fishery, near Canterbury in Kent.
Famed for it’s beautiful surroundings and amazing variety of stunning looking, big carp, Chilham Mill Estate is owned and run by proprietor Vince Leader. The 26 acre lake is home to some very worthy specimens that have graced the nets of many of today’s carp angling legends, including Mr Penning himself! With a reputation as one of the most productive fisheries for 30lb carp, Chilham’s winter form is second-to-none. Vince acquired the estate around 2010 at auction, and together with his team, many changes have been made to ensure the fishery’s continued success through a careful programme of cultivation and top notch fishery management. The installation of oxygenation areas keeps the carp in tip top condition and ensures they feed all year round!
