One of the handy features available on all fishery pages is the “Nearest Tackle Shops” to the fishery that you’re checking out. Tackle shops are shown in order of how close they are to the fishery. So in the first of our “How To” guides, we’re going to show you how easy it is for Tackle Shops to add themselves to the Fishery.co.uk database.
First thing’s first, create a free account and then follow the steps below:
STEP ONE
|
STEP TWO
Once you’ve started the process, the next screen will take you through all of the steps required for adding your shop. Note point 3 – the Google Map defaults to placing a pin in Wales – this will automatically move in Step 3 according to your postcode.
|
STEP THREE
Fill out your contact details as below. Once you have entered your postcode, the Google Map pin will move to your location. In the Step 4, you will zoom the map in to show your location.
|
STEP FOUR
To zoom the Google Map in to your location, simply click the “+” and “-” signs on the top left of the Google Map. As you zoom in, you can click the pin and drag it to the exact position you want.
|
STEP FIVE
Now you can tell enter all of the information regarding your shop. Think about what you want to say, for example, how long you’ve been established, what styles of angling you cater for, what brands you stock etc.. Don’t forget to include your opening hours in the right hand column.
|
STEP SIX
The next screen allows you to upload up to 10 images of your shop. Upload some pictures from inside your shop, and a team photo always goes down well 😉 Remember to set one of your pictures as the “Thumbnail” – this will be the main picture that is displayed on your Tackle Shop Page. All other images will be viewable as a slide show.
|
STEP SEVEN
Once you have clicked Save & Continue, simply click the “Submit” button within your account to send your page for approval by the Fishery.co.uk team. Once approved, your page will go live!
Your Tackle Shop page completed! |
